Davids Ride
This nice ride is Davids Karmann. Yesterday we've pumped the engine in. Too bad Davids Ghia won't be ready for the Bugtour next week.

Speeding
On my way back from Retro VW Mania, I though it was about time to let my ride show me where he's capable off. The result was not disapointing for my bone-stock 1500S. (BTW this picture might seem familiar, it is indeed already published on Ffred's blog http://vw1500s.skynetblogs.be/ but I wanted to give Ffred the premiere of this shot on special request ;-) Say hello the Ffred.)

Meeting Zaffelare 14
Just forgot to mention that I also took a throphy home. I competed in the standard 1600 class on the dragstrip and my little original 1500cc stomper went in the top three. Not bad for a heavy Notch, with a powerplant that has never been rebuild since it left the VW-factory back in 1965, between those lightweight bugs. We would also like to say a little thankword to Nico and his crew for the nice meeting they set up. Hope the weather will be better next year so more cars show up. Big ups to Nico and his crew for the nice weekend.

Party Zaffelare 1
After the meeting, there was a party with a great DJ that played songs like 'ik heb een heel apart gevoel van binnen als ik naar je kijk mijn lieve schat'. A real Belgian Schlager. It translate like this: 'I have a very apart feeling inside when I look at you my lovely darling.' It really set the place on fire.
