Beetlejuice 2
Jean-Francois of Beetlejuice's little Treasure-corner. These goodies are certainly on the wishlist of the Old-Speed fan. So far our visit at Beeltejuice in Perpignan in the South of France. It shure is a visit worth when you are down in France for your holiday. We would just like to say Hello to Jean-Francois and would like to thank him for the warm welcome. See you in Belgium Jean-Francois and don't hesitate to visit us when you are down here. Greetz Wim and Nicolas.

French Shopping
While we were in France, Nicolas and I just couldn't left our passion aside, so left our women by the pool en went out to Perpignan to visit Beetlejuice. What we found was a nice shop with a lot of desirable period VW-goodies. Jean-Francois, owner of Beetlejuice, welcomed us very good with coffee and beer, he showed us his current project and we talked about the Belgium and French VW-scene. One thing's for shure: Jean-Francois really loves the Belgium-VW-Scene and he was visiting Kobus' website (http://kobus.skynetblogs.be/) and asked us to say hello to Kobus and Ffred (http://vw1500s.skynetblogs.be/) when we were back in Belgium.

Holiday
It might be a while since we've posted some pictures on our blog. I hope you didn't think that DVF was death. Some members of DVF (Nicolas and I) went on holiday in the south of France for two weeks where we've spotted some very nice aircooled VeeWees, including this nice Split bus. We also saw a lot of Beach Buggies which mist be great driving on those (very) hot French Summer Days, but don't have any pictures of them. Anyway we're glad to be back in (cold and rainy) Belgium because some of the best shows and meeting are about to take place. Yes indeed, I'm talking 'bout the Belgium Week organised by th DAS. In that week we've Das Drag Day, Das Dyno Day, Das Cruise Night and the meeting in SPA. For more info check http://das.skynetblogs.be/ and see y all there. Greetz.

Yesterday I went to the meeting of the 'Radikalbugz'. As you may suspect, their ridez are radikal in rideheight. The atmosphere was laid back with a kind of Hot Rod feel. Well done for the first time.

El Picaro
Tim set the final hand on the rearwindow of my current project, my mexican bug. The ride's name is and will be 'El Picaro' which means little naughty one. The characters are painted in white metalflake and lined off in paprika-red which is going to be the color of the body. Everything is done in the old-fashion free-hand style. Looks good, don't you all think. Well done to you Tim.

Last Friday, the Culture Club in Ghent organised an evening called 'Knoxville'. The theme was something like 'white trash' and a local Hod Rod Club called the Roadmasters set a night cruise up. Of course some members of DVF joined in on the cruise thru Ghent.
