America's Most Beautiful VW 2
This is the Fire-breathing engine of 'America's most beautiful VW'. Very nice 2332 cc package equipped with EFI and 50mm throttle bodies good for some real horsepower. Detailling is to a very high standard.

America's Most Beautiful VW 1
Remember this ride? It was featured on our blog a few weeks ago. Well this immaculate Split is Randy Gates interpretation of an Old School bug. In my opinion, he did a great job on it. This bug was awarded 'America's Most Beautiful VW' at Bug-In 32. Full feature on this awesome ride in the new November issue of Ultra VW.

Ghia 1
David's Karmann is finally finished, so he came over today to fine-tune the cleaned and detailed engine. All it needed was an ignition and carb adjustment. The engine now runs perfect. Well done again.

Fat Sprintstars
Yesterday, I went to Ffred, the famous 1500S guru (http://vw1500s.skynetblogs.be/), to pick up these two Sprintstars at a very reasonable price. These are not the usual 4.5 inch but the original 5.5 inch versions. After some sandblasting and a new two-color-paintjob (silver and black) these beauties will look as new. If everything goes to plan, they'll find their way on the back of El Picaro with some fat rubber wrapped around them. Latest update of El Picaro: I hope to get the chassis and body back home by the end of the month, so the real work can get started. If you want to know all the smallest details about my project ride, just stay tuned.

Lazy Sundays
Today, is was another indian summer (as we call it) sunny day. Maybe the last one off this year, so I took out my ride (which allready was outside, yes the poor boy still sleeps outside) and went to visit Jelle. On the way there is stopped for some gas and noticed a nice babe who was staring at my ride as she'd rather sit in my ride instead off her boyfriends flashy looking Audi TT. Who can blame her, she just got taste. Finally got to Jelle's place and there it was, the 13 sec street racer was waiting for some spanking, so we just had to do it. The dual quiet pack was allready changed for a loud stinger but stingers do have the advantage off giving the escaping gasses less restiction. Off we went. Believe me when I say that this little stomper pushes you back in your seat when the pedal goes to the metal. But the fun was off short duration as we were stopped by some blue flashing knobs. Boy, do these guys know how to spoil some fun on a lazy sunday afternoon... So we parked the ride back in its garage, at least for a while, and talked some more about our passion... We shure had a nice time on an ohterwise boring sunday afternoon. Greetz to Jelle.

New Volksworld
Full on report of Das Drag Day 3 in the new november issue of Volksworld. Nothing but good things written (read: It's the best VW drag meeting in Europe!) about this event organised by DAS . Also featured in the issue is a report of Le Bug Show. Sounds like a tribute to the Belgian VW scene. More info about this all on: http://www.volksworld.com, and http://www.autobahn.be/

Could this be the base for a perfect Old School Looker? I hope we'll get the answer to that question soon.

My 65'er
There are some fans of my ride around, found this shot on the web. If I'm not mistaken, this shot was taken at VW Retro Mania. Yes indeed, I really have to get those frontwings back in black. I painted them in basecoat when they were repaired some time ago. Something to be done in during the wintermonths.

Line-Up
Early DVF line-up. Some rides are allready sold to make place for others. I thnk it's about time for a new line-up. New line-up should include Jelle's stomper, David's Ghia, Gunter's Bug, Tim's Notch, Pascal's Notch and maybe some more...

Dynamite Duo
I still love this shot. My little (black) ride next to Pascal's wild big engined Notch. Too bad Pascal is still trying to sell his ride. Engine is a very powerfull Steve build 2165cc stroker. Interested in Pascal 66, just let me know and post a comment.

David's Ghia 2
Shot of the rear end of David's gorgeous Ghia. The ride in the back was there by coincidence and is owned by David's brother-in-law Willem. It is some kind of Opel Kadett on period alloys used as a daily driver. Guess it is still better then those modern overloaded cars.

David's Ghia 1
Latest upgate off the works on David's 67 Karmann. The project is almost finished after some years. I still can remeber the day we trailered this Ghia home when it was still painted banana-yellow with all the pieces in boxes as a puzzle. Ride looks great with those dropped spindles (for me it might be a little lower). Which wheels would you put on this ride considering it's a 4-lug? Suggestions are open, just put it in the comment. I would prefer some Sprintstars or Porsche 2L alloys with small and fat rubber combo.

Period Racing Jacket
Another picture of the 'Neukebeute II'. Have you noticed the period perfect racing jacket Tim's wearing? It came with 'Neukebeute II'. As 'Neukebeute II' is an old Swedish gasser in sleeper disguise, the color-coded racing jacket brought the driver a lot of luck while blasting down the quarter mile. Hope it brings some luck to Tim too.

New owner of 'Neukebeute II'
And this is Dimitri (already owner of an original Zwitter), the new owner of 'Neukebeute II'. Dimi bought the beetle as a present for his wife as her current ride have let her down. 'Neukebeute II' will be used as a daily driver and take the kids to school. I can't think of a better ride to get to school. Can you?
