    Blog Rookie

Another new blog got started some time ago. It sports some nice pictures and some are DVF-related so they have to be good.
The man behind it is Fieliepke, he owns a nice Cal Look inspired 66. Fielipeke is regalary seen on DVF-events including The Bugtour and X-Town Traffic and he really loves cruising in his nice ride.
Did I allready mention that Fieliepke is also building another nice ride in the form of an early Type 1 Convertable? I can't wait to see the finished article...
Say hi to Fieliepke and visit his blog...

    Budel 2006 Pt3

There seem to be a fair amount of very fine Type 3's in the Netherlands and they were on display in Budel. This one is one of my favorites. Very nice ride indeed...

    Budel 2006 pt2

Dr Jeckill aka Mr Stripe did make it to Budel and did the thing he's the best at: Looking like a freak all the time. Well done Timme, my pictures of you looking serious are becoming really rare, maybe it could become something for the collectors...

    Budel 2006

Some DVF'ers made it to Budel last week to represent us in the boiling heat.
For a change it was a Type 1 only line up 'cause the owners of the nicer cars couldn't make it. No just kidding, we do have some very fine Type 1 Lookers in the Club, just to say that Jelle in his T2a PU an d me in my Type 3 Notch missed this event due to some other things to do, mainly things like working...

    G.A.S. is getting started...

As a long-time aircooled VW-nutter, I tought to use my experience with the Aircooled VW's to get something started on my own.
And so shit happened: the request was ever increasing so I made the decision to quit my daytime job (I've traded a full-time in favor of a parttime job at the company I work) and start something of my own.
The next thing was to get a name for my bussines so I thought I would be nice to do something with my nickname (no not Mr Mojito, that's more something for a cocktailbar) Guillermo (the Latino equivalent for Wimme) and it turned out to be G.A.S. which stands for Guillermo's Aircooled Services and my pals Jelle (aka Low Fast Bus) and Timme (aka Mr Stripe Aka Dr Jeckill) came up with the logo which suits me fine.
To cut a long story short: If you need a help on your aircooled ride or project just contact me.

The GAS-site is still under construction but will be there in no-time with lost of info and pictures from the projects I'm working on...

    Just Kidding...

Don't be fooled by the previous post, Messie and I are not gonna turn our nice rides into some kind of Slice and Ring-Look and called it the Fatty and Skinny Look.
We just love our rides the way they are but Baron Messie's 67 needed MOT so I changed the wheels (my frontrunners in combo with his frontrunners) and rideheight a little to get it thru the control so he could have another year of fearless VW-fun.
I think we had some people thinking...

    Ever Innovative

As a self respecting Aircooled VW Club, DVF is ever innovating and trying new things on our rides. So Messie and I started working on our VeeWee's.

This is the new look of Messie's 67, we call it the skinny-skinny look which is bassicly nothing more that raising the front back to OG and wrap the BRM's with skinny tires front and back (this time Firestone 135's). And of you go, the new look is ready...

This is the new look of my '65 Notch. I'm also going for something a little differnt, we call it the Fatty Look. So I've mounted 4 195 tires on the for corners of my ride. It looks good but I still need to fix one problem: the tires do rub my fenders all the time so I'm thinking about bending my frontwings a little more to the outside or just weld a piece of steel in to get them more to the outside. It's a little more work than the Skinny-Skinny Look but I think it looks a lot better...

    Jelle's Bug

Jelle is getting his nice 67 sorted out as well.
At the Volksworldshow he laid down his hard-earned cash and brought home some JGE Torkers Wheels. Last weekend he went on a got himself a perfect tire-combo for the Torkers and fitted them on his ride.
I must admid that they look hard as nails and really do suit the 67. Nice job Jelle.

    Project 181 pt2

And when you get behind the steering wheel of project 181, this is the view you get. No electrics (at least not in the right place) and the chassis lacks a lot of metal.
But don't worry, I'm getting to the end of this bundle and this should be sorted out in no time.
If you want more of this scruffy project 181, just stay tuned or visit us at the bugshow in spa where this ride will hit mudwell for some offroad action...

    181 Project

Some time ago, I allready mentioned Gunters newest project in the form of a 181.
Well here's a picture of the early 181 he purchased for a reasonable amount. This ride is a 'little' scruffy to say the least and needs some work to get it roadworthy. But nothing that can't be done.

    Mark Herbert passed away...

Another big loss in the world of aircooled VW.
Mark Herbert, the man behind the famous Super Shit Boxed, passed away after a carcrash on his way to the DKP Cruise Night.
Condolences from the whole DVF-crew go out to the family of Mark.

    XTT 666

Aircooled loaded park n ride where we met...
Thanks to Mr K for the nice images, I didn't have a lot of them cause the batteries of my camera had let me down. Greetz to M to the K...
Just cruising thru the beautifull city of Ghent...
Nice ride park alongside at XTT...
The ride thru Ghent ended at the Mc Do by sunset and at some time you could have been thinking this was a nice evening in California at some 70'ies cruise night. Theonly factor that could break this bubble was the Van Den Borre which I'm pretty shure doesn't existed back in the days in OC...
DVF'er Timme aka Mr Stripe aka Svenska Bubbla, the leading man behind XTT, designed the nice flyer which could be converted to full-on mask. He wore his all eveing long hoping he could make his move on Mss Beast if she turned up...

    XTT 666

On that beastie day, we held our second official edition of the X-town Traffic. Due to some bloggerprobs, i couldn't post to pics earlier, but the probs seem to be solved now. So i start publishing some of the best shots...
Some very nice cars showed up and the park n ride in Gentbrugge was loaded with VW's in no time.
On the pic, we show you Ffred's fat chick and his perfect looker. Both very nice cars. Only thing that's left to be done is smack the fat bitch (more aprpriat for Fernando who prefers bitches instead of chicks) down a little...

    Spring break

Looks like the little gasser Trash started a well deserved spring break after all the hard abuse by driver Mc Stairs.
I hope to see this beast back in action for the next season...
