Earplugs a plenty
A new ride had been added to the DVF-rankings. It's a full-on Westfalia Helsinki Fat Chick. The chick is super solid and doesn't need a bit a welding. Only things that needs to be done, is getting it to run properly after standing still for several years (I guess) and the paint needs a good rub to get it shinnin' again. But that's planned for next week. The interior is complete and in very good order. Looks like to previous owner was very keen on the chick and took care not to damage anything.
So what about the earplugs? Look closely at the cooker and you'll know what I mean. Yes indeed, the interior is fully equipped with over a dozen of Ear Plugs. Instead of putting the earplugs in the place they belong, the previous owner used them to stop everything from making noise while driving. Another remarkable thing is the amount of spare parts that were found under the backseat. Guess the last owner didn't quite have confidence in the things VW put together seeing the amount of spare included. Let me name some: 3 startermotors, complete ingintionsystem, a pair of rearaxles, two throttlecables, two clutchcables, valves, regulator, spare earplugs in cause aomthing started chattering.... As the saying goes: it's better to be safe than sorry... As being a 78'er, this Fat Chick came equipped with a 2L type 4 engine and also came with a two battery instalation to cope with the electrical equipement. A nice found indeed and I hope the new owner can spend a lot of time using this chick where it was planned for...
