Special Delivery Part 2
Today was a nice day, not the weather I mean, but my new ride was delivered. The new ride came in the form of a 69 T2a deluxe 7-seater with walk-through. Being a Californian import, the bus is solid and has a lot of sunburn aka patina. Engine runs fine but the brakes need an overhaul which isn't a big problem. The only problem I will be facing is keeping the patina as it is and make shure it doesn't turn in to severe rust. Maybe I should just buy some Anchor Wax or a few bottles of nature finest oils to treat the patina. After the brake overhaul and maybe some signwriting, plans are a change in ride-height, a set of wheels and a bigger powerplant to get some more cruisin-ability so the script on the back window (push, pass or get of my ass) won't be necessary anymore. Oh one little detail, did you notice the remainings of the 'Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity'-sticker on the roof? I searched the web and it seems that the bus belonged to some kind of Educational Foundation in the States. Hmm very interesting... If you want to know more, check out the 'Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity website here...
