GUS
Another piece of Type Three History we brought along from the VW-shopping is this GUS (for those of you who are not familiar with VW-words, this means Good Used Stock or did I just ade this up?) early Type Three fender. It may looks a little scruffy but actually this piece of VW history doesn't need any welding. As a matter of fact it was used to make a moulding to fabricate some polyester replacement wings so there still some polyester stuck to it but this will be gone in no time. One day this right-side front wing will find its way on my '65 1500S when I put it back to its original Sea Sand paint because the curently fitted wing has seen better days... So things really start to look OK for the rebuild which is a really good feeling. If anyone needs some more Type Three body parts, just mail us, maybe we could just help you out...
